Hedges / A structured garden concept
The formal hedge garden
Clipped hedges create garden rooms, framed views and a sense of discovery.
THE GARDEN STORY
Space to feel
at home.
Inspired by the geometry of formal gardens, this illustrative scheme uses hedging to organise a larger outdoor space. Green walls create routes and moments of enclosure without relying on solid built boundaries.
The concept considers the height and width of each hedge, the views through openings and the relationship between paths and a central focal point. A consistent trimming approach holds the composition together.
The garden becomes a sequence of spaces to explore, balancing precise outlines with the changing light and texture of living plants.
